Communication is the key in transportation, it takes time to call each individual carrier when there is a change to any of your shipping arrangements. Example, Lets say you have 3 loads delivering to a customer using 3 carriers, your customer initially wants them 1 Monday 1 Tuesday 1 Wednesday, appointments are set. Now for whatever the reason, customer is not ready for it, whether has changed the schedule, the appointments need to be changed, you have 1 person to communicate that change with, not 3 carriers, and your customer also has just 1 person to deal with as well.
